Another step within the EU-MERCOSUR negotiation- And BREXIT? Négociation UE- Mercosur encore un pas en avant

Brexit is bound to affect -rather significantly- the snail-pace of EU-Mercosur negotiations. If the whole picture looked rather complex before yesterday, what can we expect today with turmoil skaking the roots of the European Union?

UE and Mercosur negotiators sat in Montevideo to discuss beef concessions. In fact, the issue is again on the table after 12 (twelve) years of absence, that is as from the rounds held in 2004. So in this snail-pace negotiation, formally launched in Madrid in 1995, we might dare call this "progress". 

One, however, is justified in wondering whether one shall see the conclusion in one's lifetime?

L'UE et le Mercosur viennent de s'asseoir à Montevideo pour discuter des concessions concernant la viande. La viande est alors sur la table de négociation après 12 (douze) années d'absence. À propos de cette lente négociation, qui fut lancée à Madrid en 1995, on pourrait appeler ce fait un pas en avant.

On se demande quand même, si on sera encore de ce monde quand l'accord soit finalement signé ?
